ABC News has projected that Jon Ossoff has won his US Senate race in Georgia and therefore that Democrats will gain control of the US Senate. 11:04-12:39 According to statistics from Johns Hopkins University, there are now over 86 million novel coronavirus cases worldwide. Over 1.8 million people have died. Over 48 million people have recovered globally. In the United States, over 21 million people have been diagnosed with COVID-19. The US hit a new daily high coronavirus death toll yesterday, with 3,775 new deaths reported across the country.  12:40-13:11 Luke Letlow, a Republican who was elected to the House of Representatives this month to represent Louisiana’s Fifth Congressional District, died last Tuesday evening of complications from COVID-19.
