Wilmer Gonzalez

Associate Attorney

Wilmer Gonzalez is a litigation attorney licensed in New York and Venezuela. His practice focuses on immigration law and related international matters, with an emphasis on safeguarding the due process rights of individuals and families navigating the U.S. immigration system.

Mr. Gonzalez represents clients in removal proceedings and handles a broad range of asylum, humanitarian, and family-based immigration matters. He regularly appears before Immigration Courts, federal district courts, and New York Family Courts. His work includes advocating for children seeking Special Immigrant Juvenile Status, as well as representing detained individuals in bond and habeas corpus proceedings.

He brings significant experience in analyzing human rights conditions throughout Latin America, which informs his approach to asylum and other protection-based claims. Prior to entering private practice, Mr. Gonzalez served as Latin America Policy Manager at the New York City Bar Association, where he conducted regional human rights advocacy that received national and international media attention.

Mr. Gonzalez earned his LL.M. in International Law and Justice from Fordham University School of Law, where he studied on a full scholarship awarded in recognition of his human rights work in Venezuela. His academic focus included international human rights law and cross-border litigation.

He is fluent in English and Spanish, allowing him to communicate effectively with clients and provide clear, direct legal guidance throughout the course of representation.
